My Name is Lisa Esposito-Maffei and I live in Hadfield, Glossop. I am married to Phil and we have two beautiful children, Ava (9) and Luca (5) and our 3 year Cavapoo, Max completes the family. The name ALM was derived from the names of my children and our little dog – Ava Luca Max.
I was born and bred in a small village near Penrith, Cumbria. After attending The University of Leeds where I studied Food Science, I met Phil whilst working together near Manchester. The city wasn’t for me and we bought our first home together in Derbyshire. We are now living happily in our forever home in Hadfield near Glossop and I love where we live.
I enjoy running when I can, you might see me pounding the pavements of Glossop or running along the Longdendale and around the reservoirs. Last year I completed 3 Marathons – Manchester, Ladybower and York and this year I have entered the Conti Thunder Run, where you basically run as many 6 mile laps as you can in 24 hours.
I am qualified to CIPD Level 7 advanced Postgraduate Diploma in HR management and felt that now was as good a time as any to take that step. I have spent my HR career working in various roles as Company Trainer, HR Advisor, Group Training Manager, and HR Manager predominantly working in Manufacturing both Food and Heavy Engineering.
I support business owners in all aspect of HR from taking on your first employee right through to ending the employee / employer relationship.
I do however specialise in absence management and employee wellbeing, this is supported through my accreditations of WRAW certified practitioner and a MHFA England Mental Health First Aid instructor.
In the past year 141.4 million working days were lost because of sickness or injury in the UK. This is equivalent to 4.4 days per worker.
Not only does absenteeism lead to reduce productivity levels and increased labour costs it can also lead to poor morale among colleagues who are having to fill in for absent staff without any retributions for their absence.
The top 3 reasons for absence are cited as mental ill health, musculoskeletal injuries and stress.
By working with me I will utilise over 10 years worth of experience and knowledge to work with business owners to tackle the route course of the issue, leading to a happier, more engaged workforce which in turn will increase productivity levels and output.
